From Sarah about her work
”I am a classically trained oil painter and occasional watercolor/gouache painter, using traditional techniques and a realism style. My artwork conveys the unique qualities of the animals and landscapes I paint, capturing the beauty and spirit of each subject.

With my animal paintings, I typically focus on the animal itself, especially its eyes, but sometimes I combine landscapes with the animals.  Most of my animal paintings are custom paintings of clients’ family pets, where I sometimes capture a memory of those that have passed on. Some of my animal paintings are of wild animals, like foxes, owls, and wolves.

My landscape and flower paintings focus on settings you might see daily, like sunsets, clouds, flowers, trees, and bodies of water.  I capture special and unique snapshot moments, giving the viewer a moment to escape to and enjoy the present moment. I convey to the viewer a dialogue exchanged, and insights nature brings us, communicating wonder, peace, comfort, awe, and amazement. In this environment, I also hope to convey the sense of forgiveness that the natural world possesses.  Imperfection is accepted here in my paintings, communicating to the viewer that you don’t have to be perfect to be beautiful, nor to be loved and admired.

I will be sharing my artist journey of becoming an artist later in my life, especially my past 10 years, where my art career took off, and my growth excelled.”
